What MP4 to MP3 keeps
MP4 to MP3 takes the sound track from a video and writes an MP3. The picture is not in the result. Use it for a song, a voice note, or a lecture that arrived as a video file and now has to play in an audio app.
If the MP4 has no audio track, there is nothing to encode and the conversion stops. A music video still has a track; a silent screen recording often does not.
